Make the Most of Lancaster County
Pair your Lancaster Adventure Tours experience with the best attractions, dining, lodging, and shopping Lancaster County has to offer.
Your Adventure Doesn't Stop With Us
Lancaster County is one of Pennsylvania's most remarkable destinations - and a guided Cabrio tour is just the beginning. Whether you're here for a weekend or a full week, there's no shortage of ways to soak up the scenery, culture, and charm.
We're proud to call Bird-in-Hand home. Our tours depart from the garage beneath the Bird-in-Hand Artisan Village - a historic 19th-century building at the heart of Amish Country and the perfect base for your Lancaster adventure.
Plan a Day Around Your Tour
A little planning goes a long way in Lancaster County. Here's how to make the most of your time before and after your tour.
Arrive 15 minutes early
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Tour times are approximate - if all guests are checked in, the tour may depart early. Check-in closes 5 minutes before the scheduled time, so arriving early gives you time to get settled and ask your guide any questions before you roll.
Before a morning 1.5-hour tour
Skip breakfast before Waffles and Wheels or Covered Bridge and Brunch - both tours include food as part of the experience. If you need something beforehand, the bakery next door may be open for coffee, but hours vary so check ahead.
Before an evening 1.5-hour tour
Our two evening 1.5-hour tours each come with something extra. Scootin for Scoops includes a stop at a local creamery partway through the ride - you enjoy your ice cream, then continue riding through Amish Country backroads before returning. For Date Night, every two guests receive a $25 dining gift card to use at one of our local dining partners after the tour - so if you are planning dinner, you may want to make a reservation in advance.
Before a 3-hour tour
Our 3-hour tours are a full half-day experience. Plan to spend time in Bird-in-Hand before your tour - browse the Artisan Village, grab a meal at the Family Restaurant, or just soak in the scenery. These tours cover a lot of ground and are the highlight of the day, so arrive rested and ready.
After your tour
All tours depart and return to Bird-in-Hand, so you'll end right where you started. Morning and midday tours leave time to explore the village afterward - browse the shops, grab a bite, or just soak in the scenery. Keep in mind that most Lancaster County attractions close around 5 PM, so guests on afternoon or evening tours should plan their day's exploring before the tour rather than after.
Plan around Sunday hours
Many Amish-owned shops and roadside stands are closed on Sundays. If your visit falls on a Sunday, lean into the quieter roads - they're actually at their most peaceful.
Seasonal considerations
Fall foliage peaks in mid-October and draws large crowds. Spring and early summer offer lush green farmland with fewer visitors. Winter tours run on select dates - check availability in advance.
